One of the best days of our life!


We gathered with family and friends at Heatherridge Baptist Church, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and made life-long vows.  It was a fun day!  Many years later we were trying to figure out what we would have changed about our life together the only thing we both said was we wished we would have ate more of the wedding cake!  All we got was one little bite each!  Ah, the folly of youth!  EAT THE CAKE FIRST!

Often Mike and I would simply stroll about the wonderful pathways in Tulsa's Woodward Park.  We had quite a few picnics on the grounds and went there a lot.  In April the bushes and roses are in full bloom.  I'm not sure who took this picture, but I've always enjoyed it.  How young we were!  How skinny we were!

Methodist Years

April 22, 1998 - Margaret took the membership vows to become a United Methodist.  I took them pretty seriously too.  Mike was amazed.  Being a life-long Methodist that kindly converted to a Baptist (he had a Baptist wife) he NEVER thought I'd be a Methodist.  But when you find a better way for yourself you really need to pursue it.  So I did - and surprised the snot outta him!  Mike stayed at our Baptist church for about a year to finish up some ministries he was involved in, then he came back to the church of his youth!  And a good time was had by all!

This was (and is) my very favorite picture of Mike.  He's cocking his head and saying, "Why are you taking ANOTHER picture of me."  "Well, silly guy," said I, "I happen to like the way you look."  And I still do.
